Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

Glutamate-activated ion channels are divided into two classes:

  • NMDA receptors (NMDAR): Sensitive to N-methyl-D-aspartate
  • AMPA receptors (AMPAR): Activated by α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxalone propionic acid

AMPARs consist of four Glutamate Receptor Subunits (GluR1–4) and are essential for excitatory neurotransmission in the brain. The GluR2 subunit is particularly important in synaptic plasticity processes such as long-term depression (LTD).
