Product Specific Information

The eBio13G3-19D monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Ly108, the mouse homologue of human SLAMF6 (signaling lymphocyte activation molecule family member 6).
Ly108 (also known as NTB-A) is expressed on NK, T, and B cells. Engagement of Ly108 enhances NK cell activity and IFN-γ expression, and contributes to the inability of NK cells to kill Epstein–Barr virus-infected B cells in X-linked lymphoproliferative disease.
CD4+ T cells from Ly108 knockout mice show reduced IL-4 production and defective neutrophil functions.

Staining shows no strain differences between C57BL/6 and BALB/c mice; other strains not tested.
Each product contains one vial of NovaFluor conjugate and one vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes and thymocytes at ≤0.8 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell count should be empirically determined (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Titrate for optimal performance.

NovaFluor Compatibility:
NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes such as propidium iodide, 7-AAD, and DAPI. Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for NovaFluor conjugates.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01):
Required for optimal staining with NovaFluor conjugates. Add 5 µL per sample before combining with cells. For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample containing 10³–10⁸ cells.

Technology:
NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology with engineered fluorescent signatures minimizing spillover and spread.
Excitation: 552 nm; Emission: 612 nm; Laser: 561 nm (Yellow).

Note:
Internal testing indicates non-specific B-cell staining in SJL mice; not observed in BALB/c or C57BL/6 strains.


Target Information

Ly108 is the mouse homologue of human SLAMF6. Expressed on NK, B, and T cells. Activation enhances NK activity and IFN-γ expression.
