Product Specific Information

Description:
The eBio13G3-19D monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Ly108, the mouse homologue of human SLAMF6 (signaling lymphocyte activation molecule family member 6). Mouse Ly108 (also known as NTB-A) is expressed on NK, T, and B cells. Engagement of the Ly108 receptor enhances NK cell activity and IFN-gamma expression, and contributes to the inability of NK cells to kill Epstein-Barr virus-infected B cells in X-linked lymphoproliferative disease. CD4+ T cells from Ly108 knockout mice show reduced IL-4 production and defective neutrophil functions.

Staining has not revealed any strain differences between C57BL/6 and BALB/c mice. Other strains have not been tested.

Each product includes:

  • 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
  • 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and thymocytes. Recommended ≤ 0.8 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimize titration for best results.

Important Notes:

  • NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
  • Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains with NovaFluor dyes.
  • NovaFluor conjugates now ship with CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) for optimal staining.
    • Add 5 µL per sample before combining with cells.
    • For single-color controls: 5 µL per 100 µL of cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).

NovaFluor conjugates use Phiton™ technology, based on novel nucleic acid dye structures engineered to minimize spectral spillover and spread.
