Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Rabbit Serum, anti-Peroxidase, as well as purified and partially purified Glutathione-S-Transferase (Schistosoma japonicum).
Cross-reactivity against Glutathione-S-Transferase from other sources may occur but has not been specifically determined.
Target Information
GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26 kDa protein present in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, catalyzing various reactions. It is commonly used to create GST gene fusion systems, enabling purification of fusion proteins via glutathione affinity.
Fusion proteins are valuable tools for studying direct protein–protein interactions. The GST gene fusion system has been introduced into numerous expression vectors.
