Target Information
The human MHC class II is encoded by three different isotypes: HLA-DR, -DQ, and -DP, all highly polymorphic. HLA-DP molecules are less extensively studied but are expressed on antigen-presenting cells such as dendritic cells, macrophages, and B cells.
Their primary function is to present peptides derived from extracellular proteins to CD4⁺ T cells for immune recognition.
HLA and MHC antibodies are critical tools in immunopeptidomics, enabling the identification and characterization of neoantigens through high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry.
