Target Information
The human MHC class II is encoded by three different isotypes: HLA-DR, HLA-DQ, and HLA-DP, all of which are highly polymorphic.
HLA-DP molecules are protein complexes found on the surface of antigen-presenting cells such as dendritic cells, macrophages, and B cells. Their primary function is to present peptides derived from extracellular proteins to CD4+ T cells for immune recognition.
HLA and MHC antibodies play a significant role in immunopeptidomics, enabling identification and characterization of neoantigens through high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry.
