Target Information
The human MHC class II is encoded by three different isotypes, HLA-DR, HLA-DQ, and HLA-DP, all of which are highly polymorphic.
HLA-DP molecules are expressed on antigen-presenting cells such as dendritic cells, macrophages, and B cells.
Their main function is to present peptides derived from extracellular proteins to CD4⁺ T cells for immune recognition.
HLA and MHC antibodies play a significant role in Immunopeptidomics, facilitating the identification and characterization of neoantigens through high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry.
