Product Specific Information

Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis:

  • 100%: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Bovine, Elephant
  • 93%: Mouse, Bat, Hamster, Horse, Opossum, Zebrafish
  • 87%: Dog, Panda, Pufferfish

For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase–streptavidin and chromogen.

Target Information

This gene encodes a protein that is a member of the S9B family in clan SC of the serine proteases.
The protein exhibits post-proline dipeptidyl aminopeptidase activity, cleaving Xaa-Pro dipeptides from the N-termini of proteins.
Although similar to dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP4), it is not membrane-bound.
Dipeptidyl peptidases are implicated in regulating substrate activity and are associated with diseases such as type 2 diabetes, obesity, and cancer.
Several transcript variants have been described but not fully characterized.
