Product Specific Information
- Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water.
- After reconstitution, store undiluted at 4ºC in the dark.
- For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10^6 cells in 100 µL.
- Mouse anti-Guinea Pig CD4 antibody, clone CT7 recognizes the CD4 antigen present on T Helper/Inducer lymphocytes.
Target Information
CD4 antigen is involved in the recognition of MHC class II molecules and acts as a co-receptor for HIV.
It is primarily expressed on T helper cells but also found in monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells.
Tissue expression includes thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and certain regions of the brain and gut.
CD4 plays a role in initiating T-cell activation via association with the T-cell receptor complex and Lck kinase.
It may also mediate neuronal damage in infectious and immune-mediated CNS diseases.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified (RefSeq, July 2017).
