UBE2N (UBC13)는 UBE2V1 또는 UBE2V2와 이합체를 형성하여 비정형 Lys-63 결합 폴리유비퀴틴 사슬을 합성합니다. 이러한 폴리유비퀴틴화는 단백질 분해를 유도하지 않으며, 세포 주기 진행과 분화 조절, DNA 손상 복구 경로에서 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 HLTF, SHPRH, RNF5, TRIM5, RNF135 등 다양한 E3 리가아제와 상호작용하여 NF-κB 및 MAPK 신호 경로를 활성화하고, 바이러스 RNA 인식 및 인터페론 베타 생성에도 관여합니다. (Uniprot)
