Target Information

Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with four core histone proteins, it forms the nucleosome structure. Histones are central to transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability. Post-translational modifications such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation of histone H3 influence chromatin structure and transcriptional activity.
