Product Specific Information

The 205yekta antibody reacts with mouse CD205 (DEC-205), a 205 kDa integral membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake, trafficking, and presentation that enhances antigen-specific T cell immunity. CD205 is highly expressed by CD8+ dendritic cells and also found in bone marrow Gr1+ cells, Langerhans cells, BMDCs, and thymic epithelial cells.

• Note: CD205 binds PE-Cy5.5 antibody and streptavidin conjugates; avoid use on CD205+ dendritic cells.
• Contents: 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate and 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer.
• Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
• Applications Tested: Tested on mouse bone marrow cells at ≤ 0.2 µg/test (100 µL final volume).
• Cell Number Range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test; titration recommended for optimal results.
• Compatibility: NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., PI, 7-AAD, DAPI). Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.
• Blocking Buffer: CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) is required for optimal staining. Add 5 µL per sample or per 100 µL cell sample for single-color controls.
• Technology: NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology with engineered fluorescent signatures minimizing spillover and spread.
• Excitation/Emission: 552 nm / 612 nm; Laser: 561 nm (Yellow).
• Strain Note: Non-specific staining observed in SJL mice B cells; not observed in BALB/c or C57BL/6 strains.

Target Information

CD205 (LY25, Lymphocyte Antigen 75) is an integral membrane glycoprotein that mediates antigen uptake and presentation, enhancing antigen-specific T cell responses. Highly expressed by CD8+ dendritic cells and various other immune and epithelial cell types. Acts as an endocytic receptor directing antigens to processing regions and can reduce B lymphocyte proliferation. Dysfunctions are associated with pneumonic plague and lipid pneumonia.
