Product Specific Information

The 205yekta antibody reacts with mouse CD205 (DEC-205), an integral membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake, trafficking, and presentation that enhances antigen-specific T cell immunity.
CD205 is highly expressed by CD8+ dendritic cells and also present in bone marrow Gr1+ cells, Langerhans cells, BMDCs, and thymic epithelial cells.

Important Usage Notes:

• Do not use PE-Cy5.5 or streptavidin conjugates on CD205+ dendritic cells due to binding interference.
• Each product includes 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate and 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer.
• Tested for flow cytometric analysis of mouse bone marrow cells at ≤0.2 µg per test (100 µL final volume).
• Antibody titration recommended for optimal performance.
• NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., PI, 7-AAD, DAPI).
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability assessment.
• CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) should be used in all experiments with NovaFluor conjugates. Add 5 µL per sample before combining with cells.
• NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology for engineered fluorescent signatures minimizing spillover and spread.
• Excitation: 552 nm; Emission: 663 nm; Laser: 561 nm (Yellow).
• Internal testing shows NovaFluor Yellow 660 may non-specifically stain B cells in SJL mice, but not in BALB/c or C57BL/6 strains.

Target Information

CD205 (LY25, Lymphocyte Antigen 75) is a membrane glycoprotein mediating antigen uptake and presentation, enhancing antigen-specific T cell immunity.
Expressed in dendritic cells, bone marrow cells, Langerhans cells, and thymic epithelial cells.
Acts as an endocytic receptor directing antigens toward specialized processing regions and modulates B lymphocyte proliferation.
Associated diseases include pneumonic plague and lipid pneumonia.
