Product Specific Information

The 205yekta antibody reacts with mouse CD205 (DEC-205), an integral membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake, trafficking, and presentation, enhancing antigen-specific T cell immunity.
CD205 is highly expressed in CD8⁺ dendritic cells and also found in bone marrow Gr1⁺ cells, Langerhans cells, BMDCs, and thymic epithelial cells.

Note: CD205 binds to PE-Cy5.5 antibody and streptavidin conjugates; avoid using these on CD205⁺ dendritic cells.

Each product includes:

• 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Mouse bone marrow cells at ≤ 0.2 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimize antibody titration for best results.

Compatibility Notes:

• NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability detection.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer Usage:

• Add 5 µL per sample to antibody cocktails/master mixes before combining with cells.
• For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology, engineered for optimized fluorescent signatures minimizing spillover and spread.

Target Information

CD205 (LY25, Lymphocyte Antigen 75) is an integral membrane glycoprotein mediating antigen uptake and presentation, enhancing T cell immunity.
Highly expressed in CD8⁺ dendritic cells, also found in Gr1⁺ bone marrow cells, Langerhans cells, BMDCs, and thymic epithelial cells.
Acts as an endocytic receptor directing captured antigens to specialized processing regions and reduces B lymphocyte proliferation.
Associated disorders include pneumonic plague and lipid pneumonia.
