Product Specific Information

This antibody detects endogenous levels of FOXO1A only when phosphorylated at Serine 329.

Target Information

FOXO1 (FKHR, Forkhead Box O1) is a member of the forkhead homeotic gene family of transcription factors. It can function as a coactivator or corepressor of nuclear receptor activity through the LXXLL motif in its C-terminal region. Association of FOXO1 with PAX3 has been implicated in alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. FOXO1 plays roles in autophagy, myogenic differentiation, and acts as a key regulator in insulin signaling and metabolic homeostasis. It binds to insulin response elements (IRE) and Daf-16 family binding elements (DBE) to regulate gene expression. FOXO1 influences redox balance, osteoblast differentiation, bone mass, and glucose metabolism by modulating RUNX2 activity and promoting gluconeogenesis in hepatocytes.
