Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
BUBR1 is a Ser/Thr protein kinase involved in the mitotic checkpoint, delaying anaphase until chromosomes are properly attached to the spindle. Defects in this checkpoint contribute to genetic instability and cancer development.
Human cells contain two checkpoint kinases derived from the BUB1 gene: hBUBR1 and hBUB1. Both regulate kinetochore-microtubule interactions during mitosis.
BUBR1 is essential for proper mitotic progression and has been detected in various human cancers. It interacts with BCSG1, potentially accelerating breast cancer progression by compromising checkpoint control.
