This antibody detects endogenous levels of NR3C1 only when phosphorylated at Serine 226.
Target Information
Glucocorticoid Receptor (NR3C1) is a receptor for glucocorticoids that functions as both a transcription factor and a regulator of other transcription factors. It is typically found in the cytoplasm until ligand binding induces its transport into the nucleus. The receptor is expressed in various heart tissues, including atria, ventricles, aorta, and septum. Multiple transcript variants and isoforms exist due to alternative splicing and promoter usage. Mutations in NR3C1 can cause glucocorticoid resistance. The receptor binds steroids such as dexamethasone with nanomolar affinity and requires chaperone protein complexes for ligand activation.
