Product Specific Information
Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C, protected from light, for up to 1 week.
For long-term storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).
Target Information
STIM1 (stromal interacting molecule; also known as GOK) functions as a sensor of calcium depletion within the endoplasmic reticulum and transduces the signal to Orai1, the CRAC channel at the plasma membrane.
Upon decrease of luminal calcium concentration, STIM1 oligomerizes and induces Orai1 to enable extracellular calcium entry into the cytoplasm.
STIM1 also associates with microtubule ends and is involved in endoplasmic reticulum tubule extension.
