Product Specific Information

Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
Ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C, protected from light, for up to 1 week.
For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Centrifuge antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

In T lymphocytes, Ca²⁺ entry following antigen-receptor binding occurs through store-operated Ca²⁺ release-activated Ca²⁺ (CRAC) channels composed of ORAI1 and STIM1.
STIM1 acts as a Ca²⁺ sensor and activates CRAC channels by migrating to the plasma membrane from ER-like sites.
STIM2, a related molecule, inhibits STIM1-mediated Ca²⁺ entry and can form complexes with STIM1, suggesting a coordinated role in Ca²⁺ regulation.
At least three isoforms of STIM2 are known.
