Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, an additional desalting step is recommended (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
GADD153 (also known as DDIT3) is a small nuclear protein that can dimerize with transcription factors C/EBP alpha and beta. The resulting complex inhibits normal C/EBP binding and function, while gaining binding activity to non-classical C/EBP stress-related targets. Under normal conditions, GADD153 expression is low but is highly upregulated during cellular or ER stress, such as treatment with tunicamycin, nutrient starvation, or reducing agents that disrupt calcium flux across the ER membrane.
