For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The CD4 antigen participates in the recognition of MHC class II molecules and serves as a co-receptor for HIV. CD4 is primarily expressed in T helper cells, but can also be found in monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells.
At the tissue level, CD4 expression is detected in thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and certain regions of the brain and gut.
It plays a key role in T-cell activation via association with the T-cell receptor complex and the protein tyrosine kinase Lck.
CD4 may also mediate neuronal damage in infectious and immune-mediated CNS diseases. Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts are known (RefSeq, July 2017).
