For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The DUSP1 gene is induced in human skin fibroblasts by oxidative or heat stress and growth factors.
It encodes a protein similar to non-receptor-type protein-tyrosine phosphatases and shares sequence similarity with the Tyr/Ser-protein phosphatase encoded by the late gene H1 of vaccinia virus.
The bacterially expressed DUSP1 protein exhibits intrinsic phosphatase activity, specifically inactivating MAP kinase in vitro by dephosphorylating both phosphothreonine and phosphotyrosine residues.
DUSP1 suppresses MAP kinase activation by oncogenic ras in Xenopus oocyte extracts, suggesting an important role in cellular stress response and negative regulation of cell proliferation.
