Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure recombinant Human IL-22. Anti-Human IL-22-specific antibody purified by affinity chromatography and biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human IL-22 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. In conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human 4-1BBL (500-P211) as a capture antibody, enables detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of recombinant Human IL-22.

Western Blot:
To detect Human IL-22 by Western Blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible reagents, detection limit is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

IL-22, also known as IL-10-related T-cell derived inducible factor, is an alpha-helical cytokine belonging to the IFN-IL-10 family (including IL-19, IL-20, IL-24, IL-26, IL-28, IL-29, and type I/II interferons).
Produced mainly by activated T cells and NK cells, the IL-22 gene is located on chromosome 12q and structurally related to IL-10.
IL-22 interacts with a receptor complex of IL-22R1 and IL-10R2, activating JAK-STAT signaling. A soluble receptor, IL-22BP, can antagonize IL-22 signaling.
IL-22 targets nonimmune cells such as skin, digestive, respiratory cells, hepatocytes, and keratinocytes.
It functions as an effector cytokine of the Th17 lineage, regulating innate immunity genes in skin and promoting wound healing responses.
IL-22 is upregulated during chronic inflammation and essential for defense against extracellular pathogens.
