Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human IL-22. Anti-Human IL-22-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human IL-22 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human 4-1BBL (500-P211) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human IL-22.

Western Blot:
To detect Human IL-22 by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Used with compatible development reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human IL-22 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

IL-22, also known as IL-10-related T-cell derived inducible factor, is an alpha-helical cytokine and a member of the IFN-IL-10 family (including IL-19, IL-20, IL-24, IL-26, IL-28, IL-29, and type I/II interferons).
Produced mainly by activated T cells and NK cells, the IL-22 gene is located on chromosome 12q and structurally related to IL-10. IL-22 engages a heterodimeric receptor complex composed of IL-22R1 and IL-10R2, activating signal transduction via the JAK-STAT pathway.
A soluble receptor, IL-22BP, antagonizes IL-22 binding and signaling. IL-22 primarily targets nonimmune cells such as skin, digestive, respiratory epithelial cells, hepatocytes, and keratinocytes.
It acts as an effector cytokine of the Th17 lineage, regulating genes associated with innate immunity and wound healing. IL-22 promotes host defense against extracellular pathogens and is upregulated during chronic inflammation.
