C/EBP delta는 CCAAT enhancer binding proteins (CEBPs) 계열의 전사인자로, C-말단에 고도로 보존된 basic-leucine zipper 도메인을 포함하고 있습니다. 이 도메인은 이합체 형성 및 DNA 결합에 관여합니다. 현재까지 CEBP α부터 ζ까지 최소 6종이 확인되었습니다.
CEBPD는 간, 지방조직, 폐, 장 등 다양한 조직에서 유전자 발현을 조절하는 leucine zipper (LZ) DNA 결합 단백질로, 면역 및 염증 반응 관련 유전자 조절에 중요한 역할을 하며 종양 억제 특성을 가진 것으로 보고되었습니다.
