Antibody detects endogenous levels of PDGF Receptor beta only when phosphorylated at Tyrosine 771.
Target Information
PDGFRB is a receptor tyrosine kinase implicated in atherogenesis and cell transformation by the SIS oncogene. These growth factors are mitogens for mesenchymal-origin cells. The bound growth factor determines whether the receptor forms homodimers or heterodimers (PDGFRα/β). The PDGFRB gene, located on chromosome 5, is adjacent to granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor and macrophage-colony stimulating factor receptor genes, all potentially involved in 5-q syndrome. A translocation between chromosomes 5 and 12 fuses PDGFRB (CD140b) with ETV6, leading to chronic myeloproliferative disorder with eosinophilia.
