This antibody detects endogenous levels of c-Met only when phosphorylated at Tyrosine 1234.
Target Information
MET (c-Met) is a receptor-like tyrosine kinase whose dysregulation is associated with various human cancers. Upon ligand activation, MET interacts with PI3-kinase subunit PIK3R1, PLCG1, SRC, GRB2, and STAT3, leading to activation of signaling cascades such as RAS-ERK, PI3K-AKT, and PLCγ-PKC.
MET is involved in embryonic development processes including gastrulation, muscle and neuron development, angiogenesis, and kidney formation. In adults, it plays roles in wound healing, organ regeneration, and tissue remodeling. Dysregulation of MET has been linked to cancers such as gastric, renal, and breast cancers, making it a target for cancer therapeutics and diagnostics.
