Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of Hsp90 beta only when phosphorylated at Ser255, which site has been historically referenced as Ser254.
Target Information
HSP90 proteins are highly conserved molecular chaperones involved in signal transduction, protein folding, degradation, and morphologic evolution. They interact with cochaperones to fold newly synthesized proteins or refold denatured proteins under stress. Two major cytosolic forms exist: HSP90AA1 (inducible) and HSP90AB1 (constitutive), with additional mitochondrial variants (Chen et al., 2005).
