Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of IGF1 Receptor only when phosphorylated at Tyrosine 1346.
Target Information
IGF1R (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 Receptor, CD221) is a receptor tyrosine kinase activated by IGF-1 and IGF-2, and is implicated in various cancers.
The protein is a tetramer consisting of two α- and two β-subunits. The α-subunits bind IGF-1 with higher affinity than IGF-2.
Ligand binding induces conformational change and autophosphorylation at Tyr1134, Tyr1135, and Tyr1136.
Activated IGF1R subsequently phosphorylates substrate proteins, triggering the RAS–RAF–MAPK signaling cascade (ERK, p38, JNK), leading to gene transcription and cell proliferation.
