Product Specific Information
Specificity: This antibody is specific for murine CD70, a 30–33 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein. CD70 is a member of the TNF family and is expressed by activated mouse T and B lymphocytes. Interaction of CD70 with CD27, its ligand on T cells, is important in T–B cell crosstalk and plays a role in costimulation and immune regulation.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine belonging to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. It acts as a ligand for TNFRSF27/CD27 and is expressed on activated T and B lymphocytes, but not resting ones. It promotes proliferation of costimulated T cells, enhances cytolytic T cell generation, and contributes to T cell activation. Additionally, it regulates B-cell activation, NK cell cytotoxicity, and immunoglobulin synthesis.
