Product Specific Information
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval using a sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is recommended for staining of paraffin sections.
A suggested positive control for immunohistochemical applications is tonsil or cervical carcinoma.
Mouse anti-Human MCM5 antibody, clone CRCT5.1, recognizes human MCM5 (minichromosome maintenance protein 5), also known as DNA replication licensing factor MCM5 or P1-CDC46.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is structurally similar to the CDC46 protein from S. cerevisiae, which is involved in the initiation of DNA replication.
It belongs to the MCM family of chromatin-binding proteins and interacts with other members of this family.
The encoded protein is upregulated during the transition from G0 to G1/S phase of the cell cycle and may actively participate in cell cycle regulation.
