Product Specific Information

The eBio1D3 (1D3) monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on B cells throughout development except plasma cells. Follicular dendritic cells also express CD19. Together with CD21, CD81, and MHC class II, CD19 forms a complex associated with the BCR, promoting tyrosine phosphorylation, calcium flux, and B cell proliferation.

• Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
• Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes at ≤0.4 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal titration recommended.
• Compatibility: NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (PI, 7-AAD, DAPI). Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.

Each NovaFluor conjugate includes CellBlox Blocking Buffer.

• Add 5 µL per sample for staining or compensation controls.
• For single-color controls: 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).

Target Information

CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on all peripheral B cells and certain myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 acts as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR) and can also signal independently. It regulates B cell proliferation and differentiation.
Mutations can cause hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression leads to B cell hyperactivity.
