Product Specific Information

The eBio1D3 (1D3) monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by B cells during all stages of development except terminally differentiated plasma cells. Follicular dendritic cells also express CD19. CD19 forms a complex with CD21, CD81, and MHC class II, associating with the BCR and mediating tyrosine phosphorylation, calcium flux, and B cell proliferation.

Each product contains:

• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes (≤0.1 µg/test; 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)

Recommendations:

• Carefully titrate antibody for optimal performance.
• NovaFluor dyes are incompatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., PI, 7-AAD, DAPI).
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability.
• CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) must be used for optimal staining. Add 5 µL per sample or per 100 µL cell sample for single-color controls.

NovaFluor conjugates are based on Phiton™ technology utilizing nucleic acid dye structures engineered for minimal spillover and spread.

Target Information

CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains, expressed on 100% of peripheral B cells. It may also appear on myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 acts as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR), regulating B cell proliferation and differentiation. Mutations cause hypogammaglobulinemia; overexpression leads to B cell hyperactivity.
