Target Information
Klebsiella는 비운동성, 막대형, 호기성 세균으로 두드러진 다당류 캡슐을 가지고 있습니다. 일부 균주는 실험용 동물에서 폐 병변을 유발하는 독성 복합체를 생성합니다.
이 복합체는 약 63% 캡슐 다당류, 30% 지질다당류, 7% 단백질로 구성되어 있으며, 소량 투여 시 항체 생성으로 면역 반응을 유도합니다.
Klebsiella pneumoniae는 전 세계적으로 가장 흔한 그람음성균 중 하나이며, 폐렴을 유발할 경우 항생제 치료 후에도 최대 50%의 사망률이 보고되었습니다.
또한 Klebsiella aerogenes의 질소 대사에 대한 연구도 활발히 진행되었습니다.
