Product Specific Information

PA1-917 detects HCN1 from rat samples.
It has been successfully used in Western blot procedures.
By Western blot, this antibody detects bands at approximately 98 kDa and 115 kDa, representing the non-glycosylated and glycosylated forms of HCN1 in rat brain extract.
The PA1-917 immunizing peptide corresponds to amino acid residues 875–890 from human HCN1.


Target Information

HCN1 belongs to the hyperpolarization-activated cation channel family (HCN gene family), contributing to spontaneous rhythmic activity in both heart and brain.
HCN1 is a pacemaker channel activated by hyperpolarization and regulated by cyclic nucleotides.
HCN1 and HCN2 are important for motor learning and neuronal integration by cerebellar Purkinje cells, shaping autonomous neuron activity and network oscillation periodicity.
HCN1 is highly expressed in cerebral cortex, hippocampus, cerebellum, and facial motor nucleus.
HCN2 is abundant in mamillary bodies, pontine nucleus, ventral cochlear nucleus, and nucleus of the trapezoid body.
These regional variations in HCN channel expression may contribute to differences in neuronal pacemaker activity across brain systems.
