Product Specific Information
- 1 µg/mL of MA5-45566 detects GIT1 in 10 µg of rat brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as secondary antibody.
- Detects approximately 90 kDa.
- Does not cross-react with GIT2.
- Formerly sold as clone S39B-8.
Target Information
GIT1 is a GTPase-activating protein for the ADP ribosylation factor family. It may serve as a scaffold to organize signaling modules controlling vesicle trafficking, adhesion, and cytoskeletal organization. GIT1 increases the speed of cell migration and protrusion formation, possibly by targeting PAK1 to adhesions and the leading edge of lamellipodia.
