Product Specific Information

  • 1 µg/mL of MA5-45563 was sufficient for detection of NR1 glutamate receptor in 20 µg of rat brain membrane lysate by colorimetric immunoblot using goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP secondary antibody.
  • Detects approximately 105 kDa.
  • This antibody was formerly sold as clone S308-48.

Target Information

NMDAR1 encodes a protein that is a critical subunit of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors, members of the glutamate receptor channel superfamily. These receptors are heteromeric protein complexes forming ligand-gated ion channels, playing a key role in synaptic plasticity, memory, and learning. Expression of different isoforms may contribute to functional diversity. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
