Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Cytokeratins (CK) are intermediate filaments found in epithelial cells of both keratinizing and non-keratinizing tissues.
There are at least 20 different CKs, categorized into type I (acidic) and type II (basic) classes.
Keratin 14, a type I low molecular weight keratin, pairs with keratin 5 and is a marker for stratified epithelial cells.
It is useful for identifying squamous cell carcinomas and serves as a prognostic marker in breast carcinomas.
Both acidic and basic keratins are expressed in all epithelial cells.
