PA1-9566 detects C3 alpha complement in human samples.
It has been validated for use in Western blot and ELISA applications.
By Western blot, PA1-9566 detects a 9 kDa protein representing C3 alpha complement, and two weaker bands at approximately 115 kDa (C3a) and 36–50 kDa (unknown or partial C3 cleavage).
The immunogen corresponds to human complement C3 peptide amino acids 678–692, part of C3a.
Store product at 4°C for up to one week, and at -20°C for long-term storage.
Target Information
Complement component C3 plays a central role in the activation of the complement system.
Its activation is required for both classical and alternative complement activation pathways.
Individuals with C3 deficiency are susceptible to bacterial infections.
