Product Specific Information
PA1-956 detects decoy receptor 1 (DcR1) from human and rat tissues and cells.
It has been successfully used in FACS and Western blot procedures.
By Western blot, this antibody detects an ~30 kDa protein representing DcR1 from HEK293 cell lysate.
The immunizing peptide corresponds to amino acid residues 24–35 of human DcR1.
The immunizing peptide (Cat. # PEP-047) is available for use in neutralization and control experiments.
Target Information
TRAIL-R3 (CD263) is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily.
This receptor contains an extracellular TRAIL-binding domain and a transmembrane domain, but no cytoplasmic death domain.
It is not capable of inducing apoptosis and functions as an antagonistic receptor protecting cells from TRAIL-induced apoptosis.
This gene is a p53-regulated DNA damage-inducible gene.
Expression is detected in many normal tissues but not in most cancer cell lines, which may explain the specific sensitivity of cancer cells to TRAIL-induced apoptosis.
