This SK10 monoclonal antibody reacts with the human MHC Class II HLA-DQ molecule.
HLA-DQ is a heterodimeric cell surface receptor composed of alpha (HLA-DQA1) and beta (HLA-DQB1) subunits, expressed on antigen-presenting cells such as B cells, monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, and activated T cells.
It plays a key role in presenting peptide antigens to CD4+ T lymphocytes. Certain HLA-DQ alleles are associated with celiac disease and type I diabetes.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells.
Recommended use: 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test (100 µL final volume).
Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test (empirically determined).
Excitation: 633–647 nm; Emission: 660 nm; Laser: Red Laser.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

HLA-DQ is a member of the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class II family of MHC surface proteins.
These heterodimeric molecules consist of an alpha (DQA) and beta (DQB) chain anchored in the membrane. They present extracellularly derived peptides to immune cells and are expressed on antigen-presenting cells (APC) such as B lymphocytes, dendritic cells, and macrophages.
Other human MHC class II molecules include HLA-DP, HLA-DM, HLA-DR, HLA-DOA, and HLA-DOB.
HLA-DQ shows high polymorphism, especially in the beta subunit, influencing peptide binding and serotype classification.

HLA and MHC antibodies are essential tools in Immunopeptidomics, enabling identification and characterization of neoantigens via high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry.
