Target Information
Integrin-linked kinase (ILK) is a serine/threonine protein kinase containing four ankyrin-like repeats. It interacts with the cytoplasmic domain of beta-1 integrin and plays a key role in integrin-mediated signal transduction. ILK transduces extracellular matrix signals through integrins, influencing intracellular and extracellular functions. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
