Target Information

GPR132 (also known as GPCR G2A) is a G-protein linked receptor for lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC). It may act as a sensor of LPC levels at sites of inflammation, helping limit tissue infiltration and progression to autoimmune disease. Functions at the G2/M checkpoint to delay mitosis and may assist T and B cells in slowing proliferation and repairing damaged DNA. Highly expressed in macrophages and lymphocyte-rich tissues such as spleen and thymus, with weak expression in heart and lung. In atherosclerotic plaques, expression is observed around the lipid core and shoulder region. Induced by DNA-damaging agents.
