Product Specific Information

  • Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis:
    Human (100%); Gorilla, Marmoset (89%); Gibbon, Monkey (83%).
  • For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer.
    After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.

Target Information

GPCR G2A is a G-protein linked receptor for lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC).
It may play a role as a sensor of LPC levels at sites of inflammation to limit tissue-infiltrating cells and progression to autoimmune disease.
Functions at the G2/M checkpoint to delay mitosis and may serve as a mechanism for T and B cells, and other cell types, to slow proliferation and repair damaged DNA.
Highly expressed in macrophages and hematopoietic tissues rich in lymphocytes (spleen, thymus), but weakly expressed in heart and lung.
In atherosclerotic plaques, expression is observed around the lipid core and shoulder region.
Induced by DNA-damaging agents.
