The 20d5 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse NKG2A, C, and E. NKG2 molecules belong to a C-type lectin-like family of cell surface receptors expressed by mouse NK and NKT cell lineages. These molecules form heterodimeric complexes with CD94 and are responsible for recognition of non-classical MHC class I antigen Qa-1.

When co-staining with NKG2A^B6 clone 16a11, stain for NKG2A-B6 first, then with NKG2A/C/E, as steric hindrance may occur if co-stained concurrently.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometry of mouse splenocytes. Use ≤ 0.125 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimize by titration.

Target Information

Natural killer (NK) cells mediate lysis of tumor and virus-infected cells without prior activation and regulate humoral and cell-mediated immunity. The encoded protein belongs to the killer cell lectin-like receptor (NKG2) family, expressed in NK cells. These transmembrane proteins have type II membrane orientation and a C-type lectin domain. The protein forms a complex with KLRD1/CD94 and recognizes MHC class I HLA-E molecules. NKG2 family genes cluster on chromosome 12, with four alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding two isoforms.
