Description:
The AER-37 monoclonal antibody reacts with the Fc epsilon RI alpha subunit, an IgE-binding subunit lacking signal-transducing ability. FcεRIα is expressed on mast and basophil cells and is upregulated by IgE presence. It forms a tetrameric complex with one beta and two gamma subunits, which possess immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motifs (ITAM). The FcεRI complex plays a key role in triggering IgE-mediated allergic reactions.

Applications Reported:
This antibody is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.5 µg)/test. A test is defined as the amount of antibody that stains a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL (typically 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Target Information

FceR1 (Fc epsilonR1 alpha):
A subunit of the high-affinity receptor for IgE, forming a tetrameric complex (one alpha, one beta, and two gamma subunits). The beta and gamma subunits are required for signal transduction. FcεRI plays a central role in allergic responses, initiating histamine release and inflammatory mediator synthesis upon allergen-bound IgE interaction. This receptor couples allergen and mast cells to trigger hypersensitivity reactions such as hay fever and asthma.
