• In sandwich ELISAs, no significant cross-reactivity or interference is observed with recombinant human IL-1α, IL-1β, IL-2, IL-3, IL-4, IL-6, IL-7, IL-8, G-CSF, GM-CSF, OSM, TGF-β1, TNF-α, TNF-β, recombinant mouse IL-1β, IL-3, IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, IL-7, GM-CSF, bovine FGF acidic/basic, human PDGF, porcine PDGF, and TGF-β isoforms.
• Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
• Endotoxin level: <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody (LAL method).

Target Information

Leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) is a 20 kDa protein belonging to the IL-6 receptor family. It binds to a heterodimeric receptor composed of a LIF-specific subunit (gp190 or LIFR) and gp130, which is shared with other IL-6 family members. LIF is expressed in tissues such as thymus, lung, and neuronal tissue. Its expression is up-regulated by pro-inflammatory cytokines like TNFα and IL-17, and elevated LIF levels are observed in rheumatoid arthritis, neural injury, systemic inflammation, and tuberculosis.
LIF inhibits the differentiation of embryonic stem cells in mice, contributing to stem cell self-renewal. Human and mouse LIF share 79% sequence homology and exhibit cross-species activity, though stem cell differentiation inhibition is mouse-specific.
