Product Specific Information
This antibody recognizes human Glut2 expression on Glut2-transfected NS0 cells, but not on control transfectants.
It detects Glut2 on the surface of the human intestinal cell line Caco2 in flow cytometry and on fixed cells in immunocytochemistry.
Based on flow cytometric tests on transfected cells, this antibody shows no cross-reactivity with human Glut1 or Glut3.
Reconstitution: Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
Glucose transporter 2 (GLUT2) is an integral plasma membrane glycoprotein expressed in liver, pancreatic β-cells, intestine, and kidney epithelium.
It mediates facilitated bidirectional glucose transport and functions as a glucose sensor due to its low affinity for glucose.
Mutations in the GLUT2 gene cause Fanconi-Bickel syndrome.
