Target Information
MAGI3 (Membrane-associated guanylate kinase with inverted orientation 3) is a 130 kDa guanylate kinase belonging to the family of multi-PDZ domain-containing guanylate kinases. These kinases localize to epithelial cell tight junctions.
MAGI3 cooperates with PTEN/MMAC to modulate AKT/PKB kinase activity and positions PTEN/MMAC phosphatase to subcellular locations involved in cell proliferation and survival regulation.
It contains an N-terminal guanylate kinase domain, a WW domain (with two conserved tryptophan residues), and five PDZ domains.
