Product Specific Information
- In sandwich ELISAs, less than 0.2% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Osteoactivin, rhSyndecan-4, and recombinant mouse Syndecan-4 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein homologous to the pMEL17 precursor, a melanocyte-specific protein.
GPNMB is expressed in lowly metastatic human melanoma cell lines and xenografts, but not in highly metastatic cell lines.
It may be involved in growth delay and reduction of metastatic potential.
Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
